A message from the board

The board has been hard at work since the end of last season. Our board voted to increase the number of members on the board in an effort to have strengthen our softball representation.  The board now has 15 members representing both baseball and softball.  We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new board members - Kevin Shaw, Jake Kanine, Carol VanHoosier, Mark Wodek, Jeff Sulitis, Leda Holliday, and Amy Paulus.  We are excited about their dedication to the league and look forward to the fresh perspective they will bring to the board.  Janet Shuman has taken over as league president, Billy Hansen is the new vice president and Sandy deCastro is the new treasurer.

We would like to thank our newly retired board members Bill Hartson, Tom Margherita and Andrew Burns for the many hours they have dedicated to our league and its players.  We are so grateful for their contributions to our league.

New for 2019, we are implementing online registration.  Please be patient as we are sure their will be kinks to be worked out as we begin accepting registrations.  Also new this year, we have decided to retire our raffle as it seemed to have run its course.  The board is currently looking into new fundraising possibilities for the future.

We will continue to collect a work bond as we have in the past.  The work bond is a deposit collected at the beginning of the season to ensure that each family works their 3 hours of volunteer time.  If you volunteer 3 or more hours, your deposit is returned to you.  If not, the league keeps the deposit.  We have increased the work bond deposit from $50 to $75 for the 2019 season.  Our hope is that the increase will be incentive for families to work the volunteer hours.  Our league is run solely by volunteers, so what we need most are volunteers!
